Quick Answer
Yes, the Promontory Table can serve as a fire table base, but you need to verify compatibility with your fire pit insert and ensure proper ventilation and weight support. Its clean, architectural design and generous surfaces make it a stylish foundation for a modern outdoor fire feature.
Why the Promontory Table Works as a Base
The Promontory Table's clean, architectural silhouette and generous surfaces provide a stable, visually appealing platform for a fire pit insert. Its seamless inlaid stone top adds a refined finish that complements modern outdoor living spaces.
Because it is crafted in California with attention to detail, the table's construction is designed for durability, which is essential when supporting the weight and heat of a fire table insert.
Key Considerations Before You Start
Before using the Promontory Table as a fire table base, check the dimensions of your fire pit insert against the table's surface. The insert must fit securely with enough clearance for ventilation and heat dissipation.
Confirm that the table's material can withstand high temperatures. While the stone top is durable, you should consult the manufacturer's guidelines to avoid any risk of heat damage.
Consider the weight capacity of the table. Fire pit inserts can be heavy, so ensure the table is on a level, stable surface and that the base can support the total weight.
